"What does Hondo mean?"
I get that a lot. Basically I decided it was time to go to the next level and give myself a nickname. My parents (mom) gave me a nickname as a baby but it's embarrassing. So, I thought of the coolest name I could think of. John Wayne was known as Hondo as was John Havlicek the Celtic great. Since I am a cowboy basketball player I thought it fit great!! Everyone (almost) now calls me Hondo except for Heidi because, as she says, "she's an adult"!
a few random thoughts (even though Heidi thinks all my thoughts are random)
So, my new favorite t.v. shows are Rob and Big and Run's House. I'm a big fan of The Rev.
We watched a couple of movies in the last few weeks. We rented August Rush and we borrowed Dan in Real Life. We also saw Horton Hears a Who. Here's my view.
I enjoyed August Rush...even got a little teary. Now that I have kids, I cry during any kid/parent scenario. I don't know if you (by "you", I mean our readers) saw Cinderella Man, but I bawled during the majority of that movie. I also got a little teary while watching my man Paul Potts for the first time on youtube...but I didn't cry as much as my dad did when he saw him for the first time!! Anyhow, August Rush was a little slow and the ending was a'ight, but for the most part I would recommend it.
Dan in Real Life was pretty good as well. I haven't seen a "blow you away" movie in a while, but DiRL (Dan in Real Life) was above average. DiRL was a little slow. I enjoy a good chick flick and this was o.k. Definitely not in the "How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days Status".
Horton Hears a Who was entertaining enough but I'm glad it was short. We saw Enchanted (which only Heidi enjoyed. The boys looked over at me about 10 mins into it and were like, "Dad, this is a princess movie...we don't like princess movies." You can guess how the rest of the movie went!) I enjoyed HHaW more than Enchanted but it wasn't Cars or The Incredibles.
There you have it. I'll be watching American Idol tonight and I'll let you know how it goes. My top 3 favorites are Brooke, David Archuleta because he goes to school with my brother in law, and Michael Johns the Australian.
male blogging
I have been getting a little grief from my buddies for my desire to do a little male blogging. They all have blog's but their wives are the only ones that post anything...except my neighbor across the street. He has his own blog. I've decided it's a great way to tell people what we're doing without actually having to talk to everyone. Granted it would be a more effective way of letting people know what's going on if we actually told people we had a blog, but, nevertheless, the idea is good. So to all the haters, I am going to continue to blog and feel good about it!
swimsuit shape
It's time. It's most definitely time. About 3 months ago I decided to get back into shape. I started eating a little better and exercising and was doing really good for about 2 months. I was nearing my goal weight and then, BOOM, Big Crewsers was born. Having Crew is a positive. The negative was we have the nicest neighborhood in the planet and we had dinners every night for 2 straight weeks. They would make us such great food...and lots of it! But the biggest problem was the dessert. I ate more brownies and cookies than I ever have before. Well, now I'm back to pre-Crew/pre-work-out shape and it's time to get back. So, the boys had orange rolls and I am currently eating corn flakes and a banana. Oh the joys of being 30!

Easter Sunday
my hot wife and kids

Here are some pictures of Easter. Heidi is doing a little touch-up on them, but I decided just to stick the pre-touchup one's on. We'll give you the new and improved later. I need to figure out how to do videos and put music on so people can listen to some nice relaxing music while gazing at our sweet lil' fam...Yes, I know. Heidi looks great!
ping pong
I got a ping pong table for Christmas this year. It has received a ton of use. Well, a few guys from the neighborhood started playing. I am amazed at how many good ping pong players there are around here. We had a tournament with about 10-12 guys...tons of fun. There are about 3 of us that go back and forth as the champ. I got lucky that night. Then, we invited another guy named Mitch to come play and he is AWESOME! So we made the obvious executive decision and stopped inviting him. Like they say, if you can't beat him...stop inviting him. Anyhow, I do have my own paddle, which is pretty nice, and a couple of crummy paddles. Now that I have reached near youtube level as a ping pong player, I can tell the difference in the paddles. There you go. That's my ping pong thoughts.

updating
I have been tracking our blog poll. I guess we ought to start telling people that we have a blog and maybe more people will check it out. I (Jeff) decided I want to start putting more on here but Heidi told me I had to make sure people knew it was me because, apparently, I "put embarrassing stuff on it."
Anyhow, as much as I enjoy the poll, I want to know who has been on it and put "no".
We had our Easter egg hunt today. Although, I would rather be the one doing the hunting so I could eat all the eggs, it is fun watching the boys go at it. I love how real everything is to them. We'll throw some pictures on here of Easter in the next few days. It is still cold here, but I guess I don't have to write that each week because it's always cold in Utah. Yesterday was freezing and today was just cold.

Grandma and Crew

My mom wanted some pictures with the new baby...and here they are! Unfortunately Jake and Cole were out of town and could not be in them too! (They were visiting Jeff's family for the week. I have to admit it was a nice break to be at home with a new baby and no other little ones running around--but we did miss them!) We love you Grams!

Jake and Crew

Jake and Cole have done great with the new baby. They constantly want to hug and love on him. Jake thinks he is awfully cool because he is the 'oldest' brother and with being the oldest, he thinks that he is the boss of his two younger brothers. We constantly remind him that mom and dad are the boss, but he claims that when he turns 100, he will be the boss of mom and dad. Too true buddy--maybe you will be even sooner than that!
