Our baby turned three this week. Where oh where does the time seem to go? As cliche as it sounds, it seems like he was just born yesterday. (sigh.) Apparently I need to get over the fact that he is just going to keep getting older. A few of our favorite things about this boy are:
-His love of all things with an engine. He LOVES planes, trains, cars, helicopters, motorcycles. Anything that goes, he loves. (He is his father's son)
-The way he talks. He STILL cannot say his R's or L's or S's. Or half of the alphabet for that matter. We are not sure if it is because he was deaf for the first half of his life, or if that's just the way it is. Sometimes he still talks like he cannot hear, but we are good in that department! It is hilarious to sit and listen to him. Cause you can't understand half of what he says.
-How he thinks he runs the household. He does have everyone wrapped around his finger. Jake and Cole love him to pieces and vie for his attention on a daily basis.
-Is is bad I think his 'potty' talk is funny? He thinks he is hilarious while saying 'pee' and 'poo' and all the other disgusting things boys think are funny.
-He loves to do puzzles. I cannot even count how many times we have put together that dang dinosaur puzzle. At least three times. Every day. For the last six months.
-I love his fat little feet. They are STILL wider than they are long. And his chubby little legs. And his chubby munchy cheeks. He is starting to lose that baby fat and it makes me sad.
-He is still a mamma's boy through and through. Ever since the book, "Pete the Cat", he sings "Mommy is my best friend!" to anyone that asks who his best friend is. And the "mommy" part never changes! Love him.
-I love that when you ask him what his name is, his response is, "I'n Crewtawn!" He tells everyone his name is Crew-ton. (Pronounced crouton) His grandpa dubbed him this as a newborn and I think that it has just about stuck considering this is what he thinks his name is!
-His feistiness. Although it sometimes drives me up the wall, I do love how spunky this kid can be. He definatley knows what he wants and when but is the sweetest thing you will meet. He is our angel baby and we love him more than words can say!!
Because my brother is in town this month with his family, we were able to do a combined birthday party for Isabelle and Crew. We had a pirate party. It was so much fun. He got a new 360 bike just like his brothers. Cars legos, and a shark backpack and four new sharkies...everything he loves. He sang to himself all through "Happy Birthday" and LOVED the treasure hunt and digging for treasure at the end. Beware of 5,000 pictures coming. I just couldn't help myself.
Phew! Did you make it?! We love this kid like crazy... Happy Birthday Crewsers!!!
